Would you love to join our dynamic team of over 250 people? We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager for our Tamil Nadu Depot.


What would be your Role?

  • Act to make key decisions and impact all tactical objectives in real time. Buying and building assortment, selecting the target market, shaping  pricing strategy, planning promotional events and sales

  • Ensure efficient and timely forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory 

  • Ability to get best in class pricing through strategic alignment and strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

  • Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets retailer demands

  • Follow up with suppliers as needed, to confirm or change orders

  • Vendor Co-ordination & maintain strong working relationships with our vendors

  • Day to day communication with sales team related query

  • Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies

  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchase needs

  • Minimize out of stock cases for fast moving products in a data driven manner

  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure products arrive in good condition

Job requirements

We are looking for:

  • Candidates having education background in B.Sc./M.Sc.-Agriculture 

  • 2-5 years of experience in the respective industries : Fertilizer/Agrochemical Industry

  • Strong and in-depth market & geography knowledge

  • Candidates having exposure to manage sales remotely and strong bend towards products, competition, etc.
    Should have worked on the ground and should have a strong understanding of Crop coverage and Crop-Product relationships

  • Excellent interpersonal skills can work well with cross functional team members and can manage sales remotely

  • Good Presentation and Communication skills

  • Desired personality traits of being a self-learner, collaborator and extra miler
