Roles & Responsibilities
Creating and developing a long-term plan and strategy for development of the category/brand
Develop strong working relationships with buying, marketing and merchandising teams.
End to end management of product i.e. from supplier to customer.
P&L owner for the brands being managed
Manage Portfolio : New product acquisition and pricing strategy, managing product portfolio and inventory management. Shape long term portfolio expansion built on macro trends.
Brand management: Brand sourcing & management, Brand relationship management.
Category Analytics: proficient in analytics to identify growth areas and execute
Job requirements
5+ years experience in category management, any industry
Experience in crop protection and seeds companies will be given preference
Has the ability to align teams on the initiatives
Understanding of crop pattern and associated technicals and products for a given geographical area
Is on top of market knowhow regarding operating prices of products and demand supply situation in key geographies
Has a network with the think tank in Agritech community and knows key decision makers among the top brands
Willing to relocate to Indore
Sales/Marketing and Procurement Experience in the Agri-inputs domain
Is curious and willing to learn and experiment
Good communication, negotiation skills and takes calculated risks
Good at stakeholder management & fostering relationships with companies
Proficiency in English and good at presentations
